ROMANIA

FARMAPLUS is a Romanian chain of pharmacies operating in 19 locations, with majority of the stores located in Bucharest. Following the acquisition of Farmaplus, a new business strategy has been implemented together with a thorough change in corporate identity aimed at bringing the stores’ image and appearance closer to consumers. Despite the global economic crisis, Farmaplus continues to exhibit growth. Given that the consumption of the OCT products per capita remains significantly below the EU average, further growth is expected in the future.

FASTLINK is a Romanian broadband internet access provider with subscribers in the cities of Bucharest and Buzau. Since its founding in 2007, the company has been developing its own network and has grown by way of acquisitions and integration of smaller internet providers. The company intends to continue with its growth strategy and position itself as a high quality service provider. As Romania has one of the lowest internet penetration rates per capita in the EU, Fastlink has good prospects for future growth. In addition, the Romanian market of internet access providers is vastly fragmented, which offers a number of opportunities for further integration and consolidation.
